scope: The project includes public art, pedestrian and cyclist refuge areas, shade structures, landscaping, and an underpass that crosses a six-lane street. Responsible for the facilitation of community workshops and collaboration in the completion of construction documents, graphics, visual boards, cost estimates, RFI’s, and construction management. The project was lead by Premier Engineering and received an American Council of Engineering Companies Award and ASLA Merit Award. Most importantly, the project made crossing from the Esplanade to Biltmore shopping areas much safer for pedestrians.
