scope: The first LEED Platinum transit center in the United States, lead by OTAK and Architekton. The project includes a Valley Metro Rail station, a 15-bus bay area, two acres of urban plaza, and a 3-story mixed-use building. Collaborated in the design of Arizona’s first green roof, courtyard and plaza planting design. Helped oversee of the green roof plant study with Arizona State University, which included testing of plant resilience and reviewing outcomes with the graduate students performing the research. Responsible for the construction documents, multi-disciplinary coordination, and helped with the construction management. The project achieved LEED Platinum through successful teamwork and received over 15 awards.
